Fear. Silence. Power. Participation.

An evolution of 2024’s Fright to Vote, this collection explores the relationship between fear, silence, power, and participation. Where Fright to Vote focused on fear of engaging in the democratic process, Scared Silent asks what happens when fear, exhaustion, and distrust convince us our voices no longer matter.

Through Halloween’s language of masks, monsters, and hauntings, the collection confronts the contradictions we excuse, the realities we grow numb to, and the power our absence leaves unchallenged — questioning when silence protects us and when it gives what we fear permission to grow.
